Frontotemporal Dementia: FTD - It's Neither Alzheimer's Nor Easy

Monica Crane, MD currently operates a memory disorder clinic, Genesis Neuroscience Clinic.  She is passionate about helping those living with Frontotemporal dementia. She is board certified in Geriatric Medicine.

Caring for Yourself When You're the Caregiver

Rocio A. Huet, MD, University of Tennessee Medical Center Internal Medicine and Integrative Health, believes that each patient needs to take an active role in creating a healthy lifestyle. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, Academy of Medical Acupuncture and Physicians for Social Responsibility.

Dementia and the Law

Kelly Frere, CELA, Guyton & Frere received her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1991 and was certified as an elder law specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization in 1998. She was inducted into the  Council of Advanced Practitioners of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

FTD's Impact on Speech and Communication

Becky Khayum, MS, CCC-SLP, is a co-founder of MemoryCare and serves as President and Speech Pathologist. Becky has a passion for helping those with Alzheimer's and other memory disorders. Prior to starting MemoryCare, she held various leadership roles in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Nutrition and FTD

Kelly Ihnen, MS, RD/LN, is a Registered Dietician Nutritionist and Licensed Dietician Nutritionist in the state of Tennessee. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in dietetics and Nutrition from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. Currently she manages Acquired Taste Consulting.  

Cost: The training will include all handouts as well as lunch. Conference fees are $25 for family care partners and $45 for professional care partners. Professional fee includes 5.75 CEUs for administratorsof residential homes for the aged as well as assisted living facility administrators.
