The Knoxville Alzheimer’s WALK is a Saturday morning filled with Celebration! Participants and volunteers from Knox, Claiborne, Grainger, Hancock & Union counties find live musical entertainment, FREE food, door prizes, and fun for all ages.
Take group photos & enter your team t-shirt in a design contest at the Photo Area.
Paws for the Cause: This is a pet-friendly event!
Sign up your pet for our "Most Purple" and "Best Dressed" contests at the Pet Tent. Plus, the pet (and his or her team) who raise the most money will be crowned WALK Mascot! Be sure to go to the Pet Line at Registration Stop #2 on the day of the WALK.
The WALK is considered symbolic and optional. Many people enjoy the pre-WALK celebration, during which time they see they are truly not alone with Alzheimer's disease. WALKers can choose from a "short fun loop" around the church or the "hilly nature route" which is approximately 1 ½ miles long on the 3rd Creek Greenway behind the churches. The WALK Finish Line is behind the 2nd Presbyterian & Unitarian Churches, where most WALKers park and catch the trolleys.

Organize a Team!
Teams are the heart of what makes Alzheimer’s WALK so successful. Families, businesses, churches, organizations and school groups build teams to honor those who have been touched by Alzheimer’s.
Team captains and co-captains are the volunteer leaders who build
excitement and help teams meet their fundraising goals. They motivate and encourage co-workers, friends and family to join their team and work to promote Alzheimer’s WALK.
Take the First Steps to Team Up Today!

If you would like to join the group of volunteers who help make the day of the walk happen, please Register above. You will have the option to choose: WALKer, WALKer+Volunteer, or Volunteer. Please choose a few "jobs" that you would like to help with, but please keep in mind that we may need your help at another location.
